Who is she

Francesca Turchetti, born in Rome in 1996, began studying classical guitar at the age of ten. Graduated in classical guitar at the Farnesina High School of Rome, she took her first steps as a musician in several prestigious Roman halls, such as – Parco della Musica Auditorium, Cassia Theatre, Due Pini Auditorium, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, S. Cecilia Conservatory Academic Hall and in Villa Spada Assosciation. Graduated from S. Cecilia Conservatory (Rome,Italy) in September 2018, she participated to numerous performances in Palazzo Pamphilj, Sala Palestrina – inside the Brazilian Embassy of Rome – Palazzo Rospigliosi (Zagarolo, Italy), The House of Jazz and Orione Theatre.

She also took part in a project, promoted by Santa Cecilia Conservatory and in collaboration with Costa Crociere. Thanks to this project, she had the chance to board on two cruises of the same fleet (January 2016 and April 2016) on which she performed concerts as a soloist, in ensemble of guitars and in orchestra. On the occasion of the “Guit Fest 2016”, she attended various masterclasses, organised by international artists, such as Maestro Manuel Barrueco, Lorenzo Micheli, Arturo Tallini, Massimo Delle Cese, the Piano Master Laszlo Stacho, Maestro Elena Papandreou, Maestro Domenico Ascione, Maestro Frederic Zigante, Pierluigi Corona and Marco Tamayo.

Since September 2016 she has been studying flamenco guitar and guitar composition/arrangement with Maestro Sandro Bagazzini.

Since August 2017 she has been part of the guitar ensemble, composed of eight elements and called “Teacup8”. They boasted of numerous concerts and a very ambitious repertoire that ranges from ‘600 music to contemporary one.

Since March 2019 she has been studying flamenco guitar with Manuel Montero Miranda.

She got her MA Degree in flamenco guitar at G. Briccialdi Conservatory (Terni, Italy). She is currently collaborating with the school of flamenco dancing “La Roca Flamenco” (Rome, Italy) as guitarist accompanist of singing and dancing.

Since December 2021 she collaborates with the singer Ana Rita Rosarillo at the project “Por Rosas” (more info in the section – Concert).

She has been teaching guitar since she was sixteen, both as a tutor and in collaboration with many schools of music.

She currently lives in Sevilla, Spain to perfect her flamenco style in guitar. She got a degree in flamenco guitar at Conservatorio “Cristóbal de Morales” (Sevilla, Spain). She plays in some emblematic tablaos of Sevilla like “Sala Fabiola” and “Milonga Tablao”.

She has always aspired to solo guitar composition, eager to create a perfect union between her greatest loves: classical music and Andalusian music.
Her first solo guitar album will be available on November 2024.
